Two barely opened lotus buds, one deep red, the other powdery beige, sculpted by hand in wax. Set side by side on a shelf or a laid table, they compose a delicate still life that stands on its own.
Too beautiful to burn quickly: light them for the length of a dinner, and the flame slowly reveals the modelling of the petals. As much a decorative piece as a candle, poured one at a time — no two are ever quite identical.
