What else changes
- Sun: do not leave a beaded or velvet bag on a table in full sun; the colours fade.
- Winter rain: velvet does not cope well with it; bring an umbrella or a spare bag for the journey.
- Length: a summer wedding often goes on until morning, so choose a chain for the dancing.
Beach and destination weddings
Sand, wind, humidity: avoid velvet and pale satin, which mark. White beads and brocade fabrics handle the open air better; keep the bag in its dust bag while travelling and only take it out for the ceremony. A wrist bag, like the Japanese knot bag, never gets put down in the sand.
Between seasons
